Student Learning Presentation at VJLS
◎5月23日（土）は学習発表会が行われます。生徒たちは、日頃の学習成果を発表するため、この日に向けて一生懸命準備を進めています。日本語の発表やパフォーマンスを通して、子どもたちの成長をご覧いただける機会となっています。 ◎ On Saturday, May 23, the Student Learning Presentation will be held at VJLS. Students will exhibit their Japanese language growth through various live performances and presentations. As we head into the final weeks of the academic year, this annual event offers the chance to celebrate the hard work and achievements of our many wonderful students.

VJLS offered a free introductory Japanese language lesson
◎4月12日（日） バンデューセンで行われた「桜デイズ」に無料の日本語体験レッスンを 開講しました。70名ほどの参加者で教室は埋め尽くされました。皆さん真剣にレッスンを受け 最後は「さようなら」「ありがとう」と日本語でのの挨拶もいただきました。 ◎ Sunday, April 12 – VJLS offered a free introductory Japanese language lesson at Sakura Days held at VanDusen Garden. The classroom was filled with approximately 70 participants. Everyone participated enthusiastically in the lesson, with many attendees saying the Japanese words “Sayonara” and “Arigatou” at the end of the class.

School News 2026 May ウエストポイントグレイ日本語クラス [ 過去数年前の記事] コロナ期の頃、全クラスオンライン体制をとりました。 小学科中学年以上は、さほどきつくは、ありませんでしたが、幼児クラス、小学科低学年のクラスは、少し困難でした。 恒例のイベントも中止で、子供達には、声かけも躊躇していました。 でも、コロナも終息してクラスにて対面授業になるとみんな満面笑顔でした。そんな時、保護者の皆様が集われ運動会の準備、開催をしてくださいました。 私達クラス側にとり、感慨無量です。涙が止まりまでんでした。 それは、それは、楽しい運動会でした。心より保護者の皆様に感謝です。 やはり、学校教育というには、学校、子供、保護者 この3つの関係が等しい信頼関係の正三角形を保ち続ける事が、大切ですね。 保護者の皆様、ありがとうございます。 [今後のクラス] 今年度も後少しになりました。当クラスでは、体験学習を重視しております。月1度の(おやつ作り)では、子供達の “やろう！”“ やりたい！“ の強い好奇心が、読み取れます。 今月、来月もおやつ作りを実施します。何を作るか、楽しみです。 みんなで体験して、共感できる事、大切ですね。 West Point Grey Japanese Class [Article from several years ago] During the COVID-19 pandemic, all classes were conducted online.While it wasn’t too difficult for the upper elementary grades, it was a bit challenging for the preschool and lower elementary classes. 古いニュース」 9月6日に入学・始業式が行われました。今年度は87名の新入生を迎え、多くの保護者の方々にもご参加いただきました。会場は嬉しい笑顔でいっぱいでした。これからの一年を楽しみながら、多くの経験を積み、学びを深めていってほしいと思います。 On September 6, we held our Entrance and Opening Ceremony. SJLS Halloween Event
サレー日本語学校で最初に行われる合同イベントは、10月27日の「ハロウィン」です。 生徒だけではなく、先生もコスチュームを着てイベントに参加します！ 今年は、どんなかわいいコスチュームが見れるのか、今から楽しみです。 The first joint event at Surrey Japanese School will be our Halloween event, taking place on October 27th. GJLS Summer School in July and August
サマースクール サマースクールを７月と８月の2回、行いました。ラジオ体操から始まり、涼しい朝のうちに学習をしました。日本文化を体験することをねらいとして午後は、学園オリジナルのおみこしを担いだり、スイカ割りをしたり、ヨーヨーや魚釣りなどをして、子供たちは楽しみながら日本の夏を味わいました。 Summer School Summer school was held twice in July and August. I started with radio gymnastics and studied in the cool morning. In the afternoon, with the aim of experiencing Japanese culture, the children enjoyed the Japanese summer while carrying the school’s original omikoshi, splitting watermelons, yo-yo and fishing.

５５周年を迎えて 1971年に創立した本学園は、今年創立５５周年を迎えます。「生徒、保護者と学校が三者一体となって」を大切にし、皆様のお力添えをいただきながらここまで来ることができました。初心に返って今年度も楽しく日本語教育に精進したいと思います。 Celebrating the 55th anniversary Founded in 1971, this school celebrates its 55th anniversary this year.
